Sunday 15 12 2019

Local supernumerary minister Rev Paul Howes led our Service for the morning of the third Sunday of Advent 2019, concentrating on John the Baptist and the question he asked of Jesus “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” Matthew 11 v 3.

Paul spoke to the Children about the angel who visited Mary to tell her she would be the mother of Jesus. Then our Junior Church spent an industrious time in their classroom making angels. Working together to do so, they stood with feet together and drew around the outline of their feet. Then separately they drew around the outline of each hand. Then they used these to very effectively form the body (from the feet) and wings (from the hands) of their angels.

You can hear his sermon here.
