Normal times for Sunday worship are 10.30 am and 6.30 pm.
However during Advent morning worship is brought forward to 10.00 am. and on Advent Sunday, the anniversary of the first signing of the Covenant of co-operation with St Botolph's Church, the service may be held at St. Botolph's or St Peter's.
As part of the covenant of co-operation with the Churches of the town centre parish, evening worship at Castle is only held on the first and third Sunday each month. On the second Sunday the service is at St Botolph's and on the fourth Sunday at St. Peters (this may be varied for special and festival services so church notice boards should be checked to ensure correct information). Where there is a fifth Sunday, specific arrangements are made which may be a service at Castle, or may involve travel to another church of the Colchester Methodist Circuit or a visit to another of the town centre chuches.
At the morning service of the first Sunday of each month, apart from the circumstance where Easter Sunday falls on another Sunday of March or April, the Sacrament of Holy Communion is observed as it is on the third Sunday evening of each Month.
All who wish to are welcome to take part in the Sacrament, it is not reserved for members but is open to all.
